The Oera Linda Book is an ancient Frisian manuscript that was discovered in the Netherlands in the 19th century. It is allegedly several thousand years old.
The book tells of the destruction of Atland (Atlantis) in 2194 BC, and the subsequent history of the Frisian people, who were originally ruled over by an order of celibate priestesses known as Famna, dedicated to the goddess Frya.
The Oera Linda Book has been influential in the development of modern Paganism, and Odinism and Asatru in particular.
