Monotheism is the belief that there is one, and only one, god.

Paganism is almost always polytheist, but there are rare cases of pagan monotheism,
notably the short-lived religion of Atenism from ancient Egypt.

In the modern world, by far the most common form of monotheism is Abrahamism,
and especially its two most populous divisions- Christianity and Islam.
